Bringing back the realism!!
A self portrait to illustrate my newest facial marr and to remind myself that I can still paint. So I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
I've had a scar on my cheek since I was a baby - self inflicted at 12 hours old due to long fingernails which establishes my self loathing from the get go and may also be why I bite my nails still 20 and a half years later.
So! When I stay back at my mum's house every week or so, to avoid being too lonely, the cat likes to jump from my sister's bunk bed to the lower beds which I sleep on.
Last week, Kitty landed on my eye. THIS week, she caught me with her little kitty claws and I have a scratch on my cheek. Got my nose a teeny bit too. Little dear.
It'll may fade away eventually...
Is it weird that I find it a little bit cool? I also had a vision on her clawing my face when she nearly had my eyes out a few weeks ago. Almost came true... >_<

wow- this is cool- oh and your not alone in thinking the cut is cool- once i was fencing with a friend and his sword cut right above my eye- i thought it was so cool..lol anyways- well done, especially in painting.
